My background

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for all things aesthetic. I eventually landed in cosmetology school in my home state of Colorado. After graduating I did an AVEDA apprenticeship and then continued my technical training with a strong emphasis on the AVEDA philosophy.

After 12 years of learning the craft and working my way to top stylist and Creative Designer, I decided to begin working in my own studio and explore different philosophies and products. I have since found that I really align with the values and products of Davines.

The Fun Stuff

My babies are my life! These two have opened my heart and rattled my soul! They are my greatest teachers...Anna has a soft and gentle approach while Sam’s teaching style is cut-throat yet HIGHLY effective. I’m grateful for both! I love being a mom, and I would say it has become my main hobby. Trying to raise decent humans is not easy. I love sharing stories about parenting experiences with my clients and friends. Gaining perspectives of from behind the chair and laughing about the harsh realities of life is one of my pastimes.

I’m a firm believer that women need the support of other women, and this led me to become a Doula — which I absolutely love! Helping women bring their babies into the world is an honor, and brings me so much joy. Naturally, during my time as a stylist I listened to many birth stories, and found myself sharing my own. It was during these interactions that I realized how passionate I feel about childbirth and supporting women who wanted an elevated birth experience. Whether they were having a planned medicated hospital birth or a home birth I had many ideas to share. Luckily for me, I was fortunate enough to have my babies at home and it was beyond transformative. It was through my own experience and conversations with other mothers that I realized having a Doula is imperative to having the birth experience you desire. I’ve always been amazed at what the human body is capable of, I’m passionate about childbirth, and I love empowering women, so I decided to make a job of it!
My favorite part of being a doula is being able to create a calm and supportive space for not only the expecting mother, but her partner as well. Partners are excited about the birth process, but sometimes they need a little guidance in the moment. I love witnessing the evolution of the family throughout the entire process, being present during the birth of a child is an absolute gift. Although doulas are helpful in all birth settings, I’m especially passionate about helping families in the hospital. I work with families who value natural childbirth, but also support families who choose to have a medicated birth experience. I love being domestic and enjoy flower arranging, decorating, and cooking.
Living a holistic lifestyle is extremely important to me and I consider myself a naturalist. I value alternative medicine and herbal remedies, and only recommend planet-friendly hair care!
